Shareholding Structure

Burgan Securities made its debut in the Turkish financial sector in 1990 as a financial intermediary providing brokerage services on ISE-listed stocks, along with corporate finance advisory services.

In April 2005, its shares were fully transferred to Eurobank Tekfen due to a change in shareholding structure after it was acquired by Eurobank EFG Group, one of the leading financial institutions in Greece.

Another change in its shareholding structure ensued following the official disclosure of its acquisition in December 2012 by Burgan Bank. Accordingly, bank shares corresponding to 99.26% of the shareholding were transferred directly to Burgan Bank K.P.S.C.

Alongside Kuwait, Burgan Bank, a participation of Kuwait Investment Projects Company (KIPCO), also has a presence in Algeria, Iraq, Jordan and Tunisia. Established in 1977 and active in both retail and institutional banking, Burgan Bank commands a leadership role in the region with its innovative products and technologically advanced service channels.
